Andy and Lisa asked us to travel to shoot their destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico. Obviously we said yes. Who would turn that down? They chose an incredible resort for the five day event and had an amazing turnout of family and friends who came to be part of their big day.
Andy and Lisa know how to have a good time and they wanted to make sure that their guests did the same. They even created a game of Murder Mystery – Killer Wink Style and gave each guest a list of clues about another guest. It created such a fun way for the guests to get to know each other, ultimately to find their person and “kill them” with a wink. It became quite the competition to see who could take down the most people and it was probably the most memorable ice-breaker we have ever seen!
The week was filled with pool side happy hours, beach volleyball, deep sea fishing, and late night gatherings. The highlight of the week however, was clearly their beautiful beach wedding with a stunning backdrop of the crashing waves. The wedding party were all barefoot in the sand. Their officiant was a close friend. The bride and groom wrote their own vows to each other and made their ceremony that much sweeter.
We were in the perfect location to capture some really amazing formal pictures for the bride and groom. The beach, the ocean, the palm trees… Does it get any better than that? While we were busy capturing those moments, the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour that was served on the beach.
Their reception was filled with amazing food and very special words from their close family and friends, as well as a thank you from the groom to everyone for being a part of their special day. It seemed that most of the guests were on the dance floor the entire night. Apparently, Andy and Lisa have surrounded themselves with lots of amazing people who know how to have a good time too.
